So my Wayfarer boxset arrived. This thing is ridiculous, so stoked. Currently reading through the book while drinking a cup of tea in the shop. CTW are consistently smashing it, make sure you support them!

Seeing as we’re a hardcore band, we should probably split up as soon as it comes out. Our next band is going to sound like Chokehold.
UK Edge Day
If you’d told me a year or two ago that I would be standing in a packed out venue in London, watching people go off to an entirely UK straight edge lineup, I would’ve been pretty dubious. But that is what I saw tonight. It was amazing seeing so many people stoked on hardcore, stoked on straight edge and stoked on being in a room full of both friends and strangers, all without letting egos or outside beef flare up. No fights, just good vibes and rad bands.
We have been spoiled for great fun shows this year, with Outbreak, CTWII and tonight all having great vibes and great turnouts. It seems that awesome new bands are popping up all the time, and older bands are putting out new records that blow me away. Yeah, we’ve lost some great bands this year but I’d still say that UKHC is stronger than ever.
This year seems to have been about doing something positive in your scene. More and more people seem to be taking an active role in hardcore, and are forming bands, putting on shows, starting labels or just trying to help out where possible. I am a real advocator for the idea that if you don’t like something about your scene, you should change it; and it really does make me happy to see people stepping up and effecting these changes.
Props to everyone who was involved tonight, and well done for making me miss London.

Thanks to everyone who came down to the Abolition show tonight. All the bands killed it, and there was a great turnout.
It was sick to see people hyped on an all UK lineup, support UKHC by coming out, and buying records and merch. See some of your faces down at UK edge day.
VENUE CONFIRMED, SPEAK UP ADDED. KIDS IN THE NORTH GET DOWN TO THIS. IT IS AN EARLY SHOW, SOME COME SPEND YOUR SATURDAY WATCHING RAD BANDS, THEN GO WATCH THE FIREWORKS OR SOMETHING AFTERWARDS.
